Henry Co. Route Z Bridge Over Little Otter Creek -- Clarification of Schedule
Henry County – Signs have been set up alerting drivers to an upcoming project to replace the Henry County Route Z bridge over Little Otter Creek southeast of Clinton.
The Missouri Department of Transportation clarifies the schedule by informing the public the Route Z project will not start until a project to rehabilitate the nearby Henry County Route U/Truman Lake bridge is completed and opened to traffic. That work is expected to finish by late September or early October.
Additional information will be released as the opening of the Route U bridge and the closing of the Route Z bridge get closer.
This work is part of a three-year project to improve 20 bridges in seven (7) counties in west central Missouri. Of the 20 bridges in the project, known as the Kaysinger Basin Bridge Bundle, fourteen (14) bridges will be replaced and six (6) bridges will receive major rehabilitation work. On average, these bridges have been in place for 70 years.

The ESS Team is a partnership of engineering and construction firms that will design and construct the project with oversight by MoDOT and the Federal Highway Administration.
